Overview


Create and manage Attribute values of your Product Component. Attribute values range from selecting from a predefined list, boolean, lookup, text, or numbers. After adding Attributes, they can be added and selected in Products > Components > Attributes

Attribute List

Click the PRODUCTS tab (see #1) and open CONFIGURATION > Attributes (see #2). 
Each Attribute's Name and Type is listed along with whether it is Batchable or not. All Attributes are listed in alphabetical order.


 

Attribute View Options


Attribute view options are available on the top-right of the screen.



Click on the dropdown to show view options. 

Select Active or Inactive to filter through the available Attributes.



Click the Refresh icon to reload the page to show any changes to the Attribute List.
 


Click the Toggle columns icon to choose to display or hide the Name, Batchable, and/or Type columns of the Attribute list table.



Click Duplicate to create another entry for the selected Attribute.



Enter the new (duplicate) Attribute name. Click Duplicate when done.



Select to view 10, 25, or 50 Attributes per page using the pagination shown below.

Add Attribute


Click Add New to add a new Attribute to your account.



The Add Attribute page is displayed.



Turn on/off the Active switch to activate/de-activate your Attribute.



Activate Batchable if you want the attribute to force the creation of a sub-batch. (For example: if you have multiple finishing options for a photo book cover, a separate sub-batch will be created for each finish type).



Enter or change the Attribute's Name.



Select the Attribute's Type from the following options:

  1. Select
  2. Boolean
  3. Lookup 
  4. Text 
  5. Number 


  1. Select
    Click Select to add Attribute values to a list to select from.


    Click Add to add a new Attribute. The list of added Attributes is listed under Values.
    Click the bin icon to remove an Attribute.

  2. Boolean

    Set the Attribute to a Boolean value; true or false.

  3. Lookup

    Get Attribute Source Data from either Imposition Templates, Templates, or Paper.
    Select a Target Property option depending on the selected Source Data.



    The Target Property options for Imposition Templates are Batch Imposition or File Imposition.



    The Target Property options for Templates are Greensheet Template or JDF Template. 


    The Target Property options for Paper are Paper Stock or Paper Weight.

  4. Text

    Set Attribute to be in the form of Text which is a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.

  5. Number

    Set Attribute to be a Number. Set a Minimum Number and Maximum Number range for it.

Click to save changes when done.

Edit Attribute


Open PRODUCTS > CONFIGURATION > Attributes, and select the Attribute you wish to edit from your list. 



The Attribute details page view appears. Follow the same process as outlined above when adding a new Attribute.
