Follow the steps below to configure a title. This topic assumes the title has already been added and is opened to the Title Properties page.
1. Enter additional title information not added when the title was created, including:
Publisher - The person or company that prepares and issues the book
Version - All copies of a book that were printed from the same setting of type, similar to edition
Edition - All copies of a book printed from the same setting of type, similar to version
Volume - The numerical representation of a book that is part of a larger collection
Description - A general summary of the book
2. Add the Text and Cover within the Components section, if not automatically linked. The Status column displays Data Ready to indicate that the Specification information has been added for the title but no files have been linked to the title yet.
Component files, meaning the Cover and the Text files, must already be uploaded within the Files section before they can be linked. For more information, see the Uploading a File topic.
The naming convention that should be followed when uploading the covers and text is ISBN_text and ISBN_cover. If the naming convention is followed, then these files are automatically linked to the title that has the same ISBN (or Source Product ID). If the covers and text do not follow this naming convention, then they can be searched for to link them up with the title. For example, if a cover is named productid100_cover and the text is named productid100_text, then these files automatically match up with a newly added title that has the Source Product ID set to productid100.
The following steps are to search for a component manually:
a. Click the Link button under the Assets column. The Select a File dialog appears.
b. Enter the file name or keyword into the Search for a file field.
c. Click the Search button. The matching files appear below the search bar.
d. Click the desired file to link it to the title.
The file appears in the asset column when it is successfully linked to the title.
3. Click the Check button in the Actions column to begin the preflight and spec check if it does not begin automatically. If the preflight check is successful, it undergoes the spec check.
4. View the Preflight status when it is complete. The word Preflight and circle icon to the left change color to indicate the status: green means success, yellow means the title has issues but can still be published, and red means failure.
If the preflight check is not successful, hover over the preflight status indicator to display the causes for failure or warning. This report can be downloaded in order to analyze and correct any issues prior to making a title Live. The user may need to download the file and fixe the issue outside of HP Piazza. A title can be published with the preflight check in the success and warning state but not in the failed state.
5. View the Spec Check status when it is complete. The circle icon to the left of the word Spec Check changes colors to indicate the status: green means success and red means failure.
If the file fails, follow the steps below to correct the errors:
a. Hover over the failed spec check status with the mouse to view the causes for the failure, if desired.
b. Click the Tools button > Spec Correct option. The Spec Correct dialog appears with the options on how to correct the specification.
The Tools option also may include the following options for adjusting the component:
Downsample - Reduces file size based on settings provided to the user
Spine Adjust - Allows the user to adjust the actual spine width of the cover or the whole cover itself to ensure that the cover and spine are the right size. The full cover can be scaled or re-sized, or the spine of the book can be scaled or re-sized to ensure that the cover spine and cover page size are the correct size to cover the text/book.
c. Select the desired option to correct the specification.
d. Click the Start button. The correction begins processing.
e. Click the Save button to apply the corrected specification to the component when it is done processing. The new version is uploaded. Repeat step three to recheck the file. Before the file is saved, the Download and Preview buttons can be used to file and preview it on the machine.
Click the Cancel button to close the dialog and discard the corrected specification.
When the title has passed both the preflight and spec check, the Preflight and Spec Check statuses in the Pre-Press column display green circles. The Status column then changes from Checking to Print Ready.
Click the Clear button next to the file to remove it from the Components section.
6. Click the Specification drop-down menu to change the specification set when the title was created.

Click the X button within the catalogues blue rectangle to delete the catalogue.

8. Type a word or phrase into the Tags field.
To add tags, type the word or phrase into the Tags field. Then, click the Enter button on the keyboard. The tag is created and the entered text appears in a blue rectangle.
